Tommy Alioto grew up in Wisconsin playing for National powerhouse, Milwaukee Bavarians. His U19 was the first team in Wisconsin to make it to the National Youth Championship’s Final 4. Tommy also was chosen to represent Region II in the first Sports Festival winning a Gold Medal. Alioto is a former professional player both indoor and outdoor starting with the Chicago Sting in the MISL and playing over 500 professional games with Oklahoma, Louisville and Milwaukee.
The San Francisco Vikings announced on September 8th that USSF A license Coach and former DOC of the Clovis Crossfire in California, Thomas Alioto, has been named the San Francisco Vikings Soccer Club Director of Coaching. “Tommy” as he likes to be called has an extensive history in player development as a longtime DOC and coaching instructor teaching the USSF F,E,D and grass roots coaching courses here in Cal North.
“Tommy has tremendous experience as a professional player, Academy Coach and DOC and his tactical and technical knowledge and ability to develop young players is going to be a tremendous benefit to all the members of our club,” said Vikings Executive Director Dave Dir. “He’ll be helping our technical staff with everything from curriculum, training to match preparation, and will be working closely with our entire membership programs in our commitment to be the best Player Development program in San Francisco.”
Alioto joins Vikings immediately and will support Executive Director Dave Dir, Vikings President Libby Rappolt and the Vikings Board of Directors, overseeing the club’s player development initiatives, technical operations and work with the club’s teams at all levels.
