SFVSC G02/03 Athena Red
Chellee grew up playing competitive soccer in Southern California, and currently plays in the Golden Gate Women's league as a keeper. She is currently in her second season coaching for the San Francisco Vikings, previously coaching clinics for San Francisco Youth Soccer. Currently she coaches 2003-2002 girls, the 2007 girls team, as well as offering keeper trainings. When not coaching or playing soccer, Chellee works at the Shanti Project, a San Francisco non-profit that offers programming and outreach for individuals with life-threatening or disabiling conditions. A huge part of Shanti's mission, as well as Chellee's is compassion; something Chellee hopes to offer to her players through coaching, on and off the pitch. Soccer is a great way to not only exercise, but to build life-skills, such as teamwork, responsibility, and commitment. It's important to see the player individually, and Chellee hopes that soccer will be an outlet and safe space for these teenage girls to make friends, memories, and grow into themselves. She is thrilled to be apart of the Viking's community of hard-working and passionate coaches, educators, mentors, and families.
