Joey is a highly regarded youth soccer coach in the S.F. soccer community. For the past ten years, he has worked with the S.F. Vikings Soccer Club, a club steeped in history and a leader in soccer innovation in America.  He started his playing career with the club and now serves as a head coach and technical director. Joey also has extensive experience at the high school level serving as a head and assistant coach at the Frosh, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Saint Ignatius, and F.A.I.S. International High School.

Over the course of his professional career, Joey has developed a unique coaching methodology to aid young soccer players in reaching their maximum potential. A key component of his methodology, is the inclusion of futsal, using his expertise of the game to enhance the technical and tactical knowledge of his players. Recognizing the benefits of futsal, Joey partnered with Daniel Link (one of the best and brightest futsal coaches in the Bay Area) and founded Futsal 415, San Francisco’s first and only competitive futsal club.

Joey’s credentials include a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National “B” License, the National Soccer Coaches of America Association (NSCAA) National Diploma, among other coaching certifications.
