Tryouts for SFVSC Glens U15 Boys team, for their 2012/2013 season, will be held on Saturday, March 17th, from 11AM – 1PM, at Crocker-Amazon, Pitch #2.

The SFVSC Glens are a strong, select travel team, that currently play at the upper brackets of the CYSA league and tournaments. They have won numerous tournaments and league titles over the past few years, including the CYSA Association Cup.

For U14 players that have league commitments that conflict with the tryouts on March 17, please contact zibsen@gmail.com to arrange a time to come to participate at a Glens practice.

The SFVSC Glens are a very strong select youth team. Boasting 6 ODP and PDP players, they play in the upper brackets of the CYSA league and tournaments. 

In recent years, they have won the CYSA Association Cup (U-12), finished in the Quarterfinals of the CYSA State Cup (U-13), and are currently seeded 4th for the upcoming 2012 State Cup (U-14). The Glens have also won, or placed high in other competitive tournaments, most recently 3rd in the top division of the Juventus Coppa D’Oro, in December, 2012.

Most Glens players also play competitive futsal, going to the finals in regional and national tournaments.

The SFVSC Glens team is led by Coach Zak Ibsen. A storied player himself, Zak has caps on the US Men’s National Team, was a member of the US Olympics Squad, a  2-time MLS Champion, NCAA Champion with UCLA, and most recently, Captain, US Men’s National Beach Soccer team.  Zak brings his love of the game, enthusiasm, and intense motivation to his coaching which leads to strong player/coach bonds and high team morale.
