Breakers Red - Travel Team 2012-13

The SFVSC Breakers Red is currently a U15 Girls Travel team playing in the CCSL Bronze A North Division. Last year the team was in the CCSL Bronze B North Division. In the winter season we play in the Jose Coronado Futsal League run by SF Park & Rec.

Our players have been playing together for 4 years, and come from various schools throughout SF. This team is a fun-loving group of girls who really enjoy the game, and want to improve their skills on the pitch. The training sessions emphasize individual skills as well as team tactics. Breakers Red players have one practice/week as a team, and one collaborative practice/week together with the Breakers White team, which is a CCSL Copper Division travel team. Games are played during the weekends, in a travel range from SF to Santa Cruz.

The team plays Fall, Winter and Spring seasons, and participates in 3-4 tournaments per year. This year the team will play in the Summer Stanford Tournament 2012, Fall GGI 2012, Spring Association Cup 2013, and Spring D2 Cup 2013. Most of our players start high school this Fall 2012, and will play on their high school soccer teams as well.

This is our second year with Coach Fernando Picazo.

All of our Breakers players who currently are attending high school, and who tried out for their high school girls’ soccer teams, have made their team!

Congratulations for those players who played High School soccer this Winter 2012 and those playing this Spring 2013!! High Schools represented are Sacred Heart (Julia, Shannon, Jordan), Lowell (Jordana, Adri), Washington (Maxine), Lick Wilmerding (Elana), Urban (Stella) and Drew (Emily).
