Gabe Saucedo is entering his third season as the head coach for the City College of San Francisco Women’s Soccer program. In just his second season, the team recorded 17 wins, 2 losses and 4 ties, earned their first Coast Conference Championship, and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the state playoffs. Coach Saucedo was also named as the 2010 Coast Conference Coach of the Year. Prior to being named head coach of the women’s team in 2009, he spent the 2005-2009 seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the highly successful CCSF Men’s Soccer team. During those four years, the men’s team posted a record of 51 wins 19 losses and 16 ties. Before joining the CCSF soccer program, Saucedo also coached at St. Ignatius College Preparatory and Loyola High School of Los Angeles.

Coach Saucedo grew up in San Francisco and attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory. In high school he played varsity football, soccer, and baseball, and was awarded the John E. Brophy Award his senior year which is given to the most outstanding athlete. Saucedo went on to earn his undergraduate and graduate degrees at UC Berkeley where he also participated in club soccer and rugby. One of his best memories while at UC Berkeley is winning the Rugby National Championship four years in a row.
 
Coach Saucedo has a NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma and is in his first coaching for the San Francisco Vikings Soccer Club with the U12 Boys Quakes Red Travel.
