Lisa is the current head coach of the SFVSC Hurricanes Red GU12 Select team, and the SFVSC Hurricanes Black Upper House team.  This is her third year coaching for the Viking Club.  Before that, she spent six years coaching various boys and girls soccer teams at various ages and organizations, from U5 to U14.  In between her activities as a youth soccer coach, she has run occasional clinics for a beginning women’s soccer team, has done some work for the Viking camp, and has expanded playing opportunities for U10-11 girls by organizing teams to play in the summer 7v7 league.  She has also expanded playing opportunities for her teams by putting together teams to compete in Futsal and Beach soccer tournaments.

 

Lisa is also an active member of the Board of Vikings Recreational League as Co-Vice President of Referees, and holds a current USSF Grade 8 referee license.  Lisa joined the Viking Club not only to improve her abilities as a coach, but in order to focus more on promoting the development of girls in competitive soccer.  She believes that having more women coaching in a club environment will help provide positive, strong role models for youth, and will help encourage girls to take on more leadership roles in their communities as they prepare for young adulthood.
