Chris King began his coaching career at the age of 16, coaching local rec leagues and soon found himself as the Head Coach for the Sacred Heart JV boys during his freshman year of college. he coached at Sacred Heart for two years while he attended Skyline Community College where he was a player. He transferred to the University of California San Diego, where he played and studied Creative Writing.
Since his return to San Francisco, he has been involved as a Head Coach for several JCC soccer teams, the Vikings U12 Girls Travel Team (United), the Vikings U10 Boys Travel Team and Upper House Team (Marauders Red and Black). He is an assistant coach for Urban High School's boys in the fall, Sacred Heart's girls in the winter, and Urban High School's girls in the spring.
Chris currently plays for Concordia in the San Francisco Premier League and he is also a co-founder of the San Francisco-based futsal club, Futsal 415.
With nearly 10 years of coaching experience, coach King's credentials include a United States Soccer Federation National "D" License, a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Advanced Regional Diploma, and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Regional Goalkeeping Diploma. Chris is pursuing his NSCAA national Diploma, Summer 2011.
