Red team tryouts will be held separately from White/Black tryouts.  Please read the following information carefully as procedures have changed.

FEBRUARY 25 and MARCH 3 - Tryouts for Red ("Travel") teams - SFVSC Red teams are our most competitive teams with many playing at the Division 1 (Gold and Silver) level.  Current Red players, current Upper House (White/Black) players interested in trying out for Red teams, new players currently NOT playing for the Club but interested in trying out for Red teams - please register here for the tryouts on Feb 25 and Mar 3.  Please register online by Feb 22. 

Registration form for manual registration after February 22.   Please print the form, fill it out and bring it with you to tryouts if you haven't registered online.

Please arrive 20 min prior to the field time, so players can check in and parents can meet the coach.  All tryouts will be held rain or shine at Crocker Amazon.

MARCH 10 - NEW Player Tryouts for White and Black (current "Upper House") teams - These teams are likely to become Division 3 (Bronze and Copper) Travel teams next fall.  NEW players, not currently on a Club team interested in playing on a Club White/Black team, we encourage you to contact the coach of the appropriate team to arrange a practice visit - (Link to coach contact info) - and register for the March 10 tryouts here (this link will be active once the times have been set).  These tryouts are being hosted by the Vikings League - when the times become available we will post them here.

Athena Black (currently U13, next year Girls U14) is looking for 4-5 new players. We are actively seeking players with goal keeping experience. SFVSC Players Make State Olympic Development Teams!

The Vikings Club would like to congratulate the following players for making the NorCal State ODP team:

Kyle Wilkinson, '99 ODP State team (captain)
Lachlan McBride, '99 ODP State Team
Darragh Buckley, '98 ODP State Team
Alejandro Munoz, '98 PDP State Team
Caio Driver, '97 ODP State Team
Marcus Simmons, '97 ODP State Team

All six players are from the SFVSC U14 Glens.

Kyle Wilkinson played in the Region IV tournament in Arizona for the '99 Boys and they placed second.  Caio Driver and Marcus Simmons made the Region IV team for '97 Boys and went to Arizona as well.

All players still in contention for Regional team.

At the 4 day regional tournament in Phoenix , AZ on January 14-17, 2012, the Cal North ODP '99G team placed second. Jacqueline and Lia were thrilled to be chosen to represent Cal North at this Region IV ODP event.

This is a great achievement and we wish Jacqueline, Lia, Kyle, Lachlan, Darragh, Alejandro, Caio and Marcus all the best!

Valkyries celebrate after their last game of fall season, where they played up an age group in the u19 silver division and finished second place!

Undefeated, with a thrilling 3-2 win in the final vs Sierra Mountain Soccer Club Strikers.

The SFVSC U13G Athena Red team continued their early season tournament success with their 1st place finish in the Gold Division at the Santa Rosa Nike Premier Harvest Wine Cup. 

After tying the first game of the tournament, the team went on to shut out their opponents in the following three matches, including a 3-0 win in the championship game against the Central Valley YSL Jaguars.  

Congratulations Athena Red!

Part of Hawaiian culture, ohana means family in an extended sense of the term including blood-related, adoptive or intentional. It emphasizes that family are bound together and members must cooperate and remember one another.
 

The SFVSC U18 Valkyries won the consolation bracket at GGI but they were champions in team spirit!

The Vikings Club newly formed U10 Girls travel team played their first games together as a team at the Central Marin Premier Challenge tournament on August 27-28.  

The team handily won its bracket with 29 points, scoring identical 3-0 victories over two NorCal Silver Elite level teams (Bay Oaks Blue Bombers and Mill Valley Rockers) along with a 7-1 win over a CCSL Bronze team (Juventus Eclipse).  

The team finally succumbed to a NorCal Gold level team, the Bay Oaks Gold Bombers (15th ranked in NorCal), in the Championship game but had the distinction of being the only team in the tournament to score a goal against the Gold Bombers.  

All in all, a great start to a new season for our newly formed Vikings Club U10 Girls travel team playing their first games ever.

The U18G Valkyries battled hard in Roseville, CA last weekend, in 90+ temperatures, and finished 2nd place out of 12 teams.
