Jim has been coaching youth soccer in San Francisco for 16 years, comprising 56 seasons worth of soccer for various teams, almost all of which have been girls teams. Jim holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National "D" License (2006) and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Diploma (USSF National "C" equivalent)(2009). Jim was named CYSA District 1 Girls Coach of the Year in 2007.
Jim has also been a USSF Grade 8 Referee since 2002. Jim's youth sports experience working with girls and their families also includes running the San Francisco Little League Girls Softball program for 4 years and acting as player agent for one year before that.
Jim's other coaching experience includes coaching the Stanford University Women's Rugby Team to the quarterfinals of the national collegiate tournament in the early 1980s. While Jim has a full time career in the financial services industry, he coaches youth soccer because he loves working with kids, particularly girls, who seem to have an insatiable appetite to learn and have fun at the same time.
