Fernando's objective is to encourage and help each of his players to build up their skills and then watch them perform during the games. He strongly believes that what comes first is teaching each individual player the skills and fundamentals of soccer in a positive and fun way. Fernando's coaching experience includes: San Francisco Viking Mavericks G-U11 Select Team, San Francisco Viking Typhoons G-U15 Select Team, San Francisco Viking Extreme G-U15 & G-U18 Select Team, Olympic Development Program Coach G-U12 and San Francisco Viking G-U12 & G-U18 Select Team. He holds the State D License and is a licensed Referee.

Fernando started playing soccer at age 12. At age 16 he played in an adult men's premier team in San Francisco, Ca. which included both national and professional players from Mexico and Central America.
